About Me

I received my undergraduate degree from the Medical University of South Africa( MEDUNSA), now renamed after a political icon, the second president of the African National Congress, Sefako Makgotho. I furthered my studies at the University of Witwatersrand (Wits), where I obtained my specialist degree in Obstetrics and Gynaecology. I also hold a Diploma in HIV management and a Diploma in Obstetrics, through the College of Medicine of South Africa. My research topic for my Masters degree in Medicine, delved into the Interpretation of cardiotocographs (CTGs), which assists doctors and midwives in making decisions about fetal distress. This is one of the main reasons for an emergency caesarean section and its correct assessment can help a doctor decide whether he/she can give a woman in labour, time to deliver or whether a caesarean section is necessary urgently.

My Family

I am a mother of three wonderful children who truly complete my family. As a family, we enjoy swimming , hiking through the slopes of the Drakensburg mountains and having a braai on a Sunday afternoon. Listening to their laughter and secretly giggling about their little fights makes you realize how precious family is. I look forward to being a part of your family’s special journey.
